Good day for gold not so for oil

Gold is recovering good and i expect that trend to continue for a couple more days.

For example i think YRI.TO will get over the 4,25$ mark en route for 4,50 in a short period of time.

Oil will continue to be highly volatile trying to find its real price. With Iran indicating that it will not freeze at January level we could see oil go back to 33$ then stabilize.

On my side, i expect a deal will be reach by the end of avril and that will help oil get back to 50$

Tomorrow is the last day of the week

Because of holidays markets will be closed on Friday.

So what to expect: not a lot......and most probably no direction.

Why: it's Easter and it a long week-end.

Expect low volume and on my side i will try to catch interesting companies that could trade lower due to lack of large buyers.

Companies like YRI.TO   GPR.TO   AC.TO   SU.TO

I was asked recently what i was thinking about Bombardier  (BBD.TO) and at this time i would not touch this one with a 20 feet pole.

Even if it is a great company (at least it was) their recent problems with c series and the fact that most of their reserves went toward that C series and that profitable division were almost forgot including smaller aircraft divisions makes me think that Bombardier is now a C series make or break and my guess is: break or sell to Chinese AFTER a reversal. I am under the impression right now that a 1 for 10 reverse split is in the work and based upon the reasoning for this split, it will not be that profitable and i expect the stock to drop around 70 Canadian cents before split and around 5$ right after.

Not the best investment at this time.

Totally unacceptable

Today's events are simply unacceptable.

How in the world has the human race able to become so violent. We must find a way to stop that blood shed. There must be a way so let work together and find one.

To all my friends in Belgium my prayers are with you. 

No direction

Market has no direction this morning and we could be on the verge of a drop.

A 200-300 points drop could be foreseen as market has been extending above itself.

So get ready for all sectors to drop a bit.

Get ready

Hope you are ready for a small drop (around 200-300 points) on the beginning of this week.

If market was to turn green again i would be very cautious as it has been a great run for the last 5 weeks.

Same thing for oil and gold.

But be ready as this minor drop will not last and the coming leg up will be very very interesting with a lot of gains to be made in a few days.

Get your cash ready but do not get in all at the same time incase the drop would be higher than what expected.

TGIF

Very surprisingly in my opinion, the stock market was a lot better than i expected this week on every angles: oil, gold, stocks etc.

Now, i think this rally has become ready for a short correction (3-4%) and this could start on Monday.

IF it goes higher again or goes down just a bit, get ready. We cannot sustain that kind of momentum without a correction.

For the different stocks here are some great news:  AC.TO has hit over 9$......time to profit,   GPR.TO has touched 1,31$ today......again time to profit......................SU.TO has touched a bit over 36.50$.........time to profit

So every where i look now, there is a lot of great $$$$ to cash in tomorrow morning.

Do not be too greedy as occasions will come back and it would be very bad to loose the profit already made on those stocks.

Nobody has never been in trouble for making profit and if you think that ''I could have made a lot more'' is the greatest phrase in the investing world, you are wrong: being greedy is the worst thing  you can do as most of the time you loose out on the long run.

Profit making is all that count and so far in the last 3 months the recommended stocks have gain well over 40%.

Be careful here

I think we are ready for a small drop in oil, gold and stocks in general.

Make sure you did take some profit off the table and have some cash ready for Thursday or Friday.

Coming this week

This week will be more than interesting for all sectors of the market.

Oil will try to establish a new base before trying to get up to the 50$ where it should stabilizes for the year. Expect some volatility there.

Gold is due for a retracement since 2 weeks and it is not ready yet. Be patient it will come.

I am invested as of now on AC.TO     SU.TO     GPR.TO    and HOV (Nyse)

Construction sector in the US is still great and even if at first look it would seems that HOV is in trouble, when you look carefully it is not.

So this week may not bring the largest market swings we have seen recently but get ready to profit on some of those plays and get ready to get back in gold when under 1200$

What to expect this week

Ok. So far predictions have been really good and i hope to keep the same momentum.....

I think we will see oil go over the 40$ this week as we approach the OPEC meeting and that a decision will be made to keep January level. Then expect a bit after oil to rise near the 50$ a barrel as i do not believe the inventory results published lately and i expect a drop in inventory by a 5 to 10%.

As for gold it will continue its climb but mostly this week due to profit taking.

As for stock, do not be surprise to see a small decline or gain as it try to find the right direction.

Now, regarding stocks that i have under the radar, AC.TO will decline a bit most probably under the 8$ allowing to get back in.

GPR.TO will continue to move a couple of pennies under or above and if it reaches 95 cents with low volume, i am back in.

SU.TO will be the star this week as i expect a 10-15% gain allowing it to reach the 36$ level.

Let see if i am right again.

Profit taking

It is time to profit from our last trades.

Sold AC.TO at 8,37$ for a very nice profit. (bought at 7,09$ and sold at 8,37$)

Did the same with GPR.TO for a very very nice profit in a matter of days  (bought at 91 cents and sold at 1,08$)

Now cash will be king again next week and i will be ready for the coming opportunities.

Interesting pick GPR.TO

There is a company that i had looked in the past and made some great profit on is Great Panther.

It has touched 1,05$ recently and has retraced since.

This morning it is hovering around 0.90 and is beginning to look interesting again.

So i will start accumulating GPR.TO and take some profit on SU.TO

As for AC.TO i will start taking some profit at 8,30$ up to 9$

Air Canada

What a nice upward move from Air Canada today with a 5% increase on huge volume.

That does bold well for the coming days and as i had expected the retracement has started.

I still think the stock could be around 9$ pretty soon.
